Course content

The course discusses theories, perspectives, and concepts of sustainable entrepreneurship that build students’ abilities to actively participate in responsible actions to stimulate social change and/or restore or regenerate nature. It relies on entrepreneurial action and agency and brings in a co-creation perspective to support venture development anchored in a safe and just planet. Applying knowledge on sustainable entrepreneurship and earth systems science, students are encouraged to launch a sustainable venture with a purpose that helps shape an entrepreneurial mindset. Students are encouraged to learn from their entrepreneurial actions and connections to theory. **Connection to Research and Practice** The course builds on sustainable and regenerative entrepreneurship literature. The course is closely related to JIBS core research focus area on entrepreneurship and is delivered by JIBS faculty who are at the research frontier of entrepreneurship with interests in sustainability and regeneration. The practical relevance of this course lies in the development of students’ abilities to stand up for sustainability values, take action, and if needed, disrupt existing views and structures through the venture development according to the acting dimension of the Inner Development Goals.

Entry requirements

General entry requirements and passed courses of 60 credits in Business Administration including taken the course Regenerative Venture Development, 5 credits (or the equivalent).
