The popular Jönköping podcast “Unnergången” will hold a live podcast at the University Library at Jönköping University on 7 November.The podcast, this time hosted by Staffan Hagberg, Lennart Lindberg and Lennart Angselius, has become known for its engaged conversations and humorous anecdotes, and on 7 November the focus will be on the campus area and Jönköping Mechanical Workshop (JMW) through the ages.

Catherine Legrand appointed new Dean and Managing Director of the School of Health and Welfare
The Board of the School of Health and Welfare (HHJ) at Jönköping University (JU), has appointed Catherine Legrand, currently active at Halmstad University and Linnaeus University, as Dean and Managing Director of the School of Health and Welfare. She will take up the position on 1 March 2025.

Big interest in course on US politics
In August, a brand new course started up at the School of Education and Communication (HLK), Jönköping University (JU) called American Politics - Race, Class, Religion.. Interest in it has been very high and it’s first intake of satisfied students are now finishing the course.

BankID highlighted on first Cybersecurity Day
On 23 October, the first Cyber Security Day was held at Science Park Towers in Jönköping with the aim of increasing competence and awareness in the field. Great interest in spring programmes at Jönköping University
There is great interest in studying at Jönköping University (JU) the coming spring semester. The number of first-hand applicants to study programmes has increased by 42 %. Last year 594 people applied for these programmes, while this year's figure is 846.

Sweden's best primary school teacher studied at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU) Her name is Helen Larsson and she was awarded the title at the Lärargalan (Teachers' Gala) in Stockholm on Monday evening.

Agreement to strengthen learning and development in Jönköping County
Research and development cooperation in Jönköping County will now be developed. A collaboration arena will be established between Kommunal Utveckling (Municipal Development) Jönköping County, the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU), school principals and other stakeholders. The agreement was signed on Wednesday 9 October.

Creative and sustainable solutions at Entrepreneurship Day
Every year, Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University (JU) organizes Entrepreneurship Day for first-year students. The event is part of a joint course in entrepreneurship, intended to let the students develop a sustainable product, construct their own stand and present their ideas to a jury.

High school students compete at JIBS - ‘You always want to win’
On Thursday morning, the JP auditorium at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) was filled with business students from three high schools in Jönköping. They visited JIBS to be introduced to the new and unique Family Entrepreneurship Schools Tournament (FEST). Over the next few months, the students will work in teams to take on an exciting and real-life challenge from a family business.

Cooperation project for the reconstruction of Ukraine
The School of Engineering (JTH) and Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University (JU) are contributing with expertise and students in a digitalisation project to rebuild Ukraine after Russia's war of aggression. The collaboration is between Jönköping Municipality and Berdychiv Municipality, in north-west Ukraine.
