The Swedish Board of Agriculture is the expert authority in agricultural policy in Sweden. We work to contribute to a competitive agriculture, rural livelihoods and a sustainable society.
To enable this, we need a number of different IT systems. The IT department is a centralized service department with a mandate to identify and deliver value-added IT solutions to our customers.
We have implemented a new project that develops new e-services, new ticket system and new management system, in which development takes place in the areas of web solutions, mobility, integration, decision support and geodata. In our software development projects requirements management, design, programming, testing and documentation are important moments.
We use the latest technology and develops amongst others in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and open source software, open standards and Java (JEE).
The IT department is a large workplace. It employs more than 150 employees and consultants together throughout the system development and operation process, from project managers to programmers and infrastructure technologies. We place great emphasis on our new technology platform, especially in architecture and methodology. We have a great change of work ahead of us, we can offer a stimulating job with many career opportunities. Our IT department is an opportunity for students to do internships or industrial placement. We also carry out a trainee programme.
