Farewell to summer students
For the 11th year Jönköping University has welcomed international and Swedish students to study during the summer. But now the courses are over and it’s time to go home.
The summer students are participating in one of the two courses offered at Jönköping International Business School, either International Entrepreneurship and Venturing or International Logistics and Supply Chain Management, each offering 10 ECTS. The programme started with the Swedish National Day celebration followed by an introduction on the 7th of June.
The courses are one month long and include intense studies, but also give knowledge of the Swedish culture through a rich programme of cultural and social activities, including company visits to IKEA, Husqvarna Group and Science Park and through cultural activities in Jönköping and the surrounding area, such as Vadstena, Brahehus and Gränna.
The summer school is an international activity that enriches the collaboration with International Partner Universities.
This summer we have students of 8 different nationalities, including Colombia, Ecuador, France, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, the United States, and Venezuela. We are happy to have students from our partner universities: Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador; Ecole des Dirigeants et Créateurs d'enterprise, France; Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico; Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia; Georgia State University and University of Central Florida, USA.
We wish our summer students a nice trip back home and look forward to welcoming them back to JU!
