    After three years of waiting, our fantastic Kick Off Festival is back. A unique festival for students, arranged by Jönköping Student Union. Saturday 27 August our campus transforms into a festival area filled with happy students, music, three stages and a food court.

The inventor Simone "Queen of Shitty Robots" Giertz has over 2.6 million followers on Youtube and is happy if she can increase interest in technology among young people, even if that was not the main purpose of her films from the beginning.“There is so much fun you can have with technology, you just need the tools for it,” she says.
  • "Children with disabilities are at higher risk of being bullied"


    Svartvit bild på en ung människa som är ledsen The two-year research project “Bullying and the relationship to mental health for school children; with a special focus on children with disabilities” will be presented at a seminar at the Swedish Public Health Agency on 28 April. One of the conclusions the researchers make is that the risk of being exposed to bullying is six times higher for children with disabilities and psychosomatic symptoms.
  • Marie Öhman reappointed as Dean for HLK


    Marie Öhman has been the Dean and Managing Director of the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU) since 2018. It has now been decided after the reappointment process, that her appointment will be extended for another four years.
  • Open House at JUE and campus Gränna


    On 5 May, Jönköping University Enterprise (JUE) is inviting those who are interested to visiting Campus Gränna and learn more about the programmes and activities there. This is the first time an Open House event has been held at JUE since its inception in 2016.
  • Karl Hammar awarded during the SPARK conference


    SPARK Award during the SPARK conference. Karl Hammar, Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University (JU), won the SPARK Award for his research project Building Knowledge during the SPARK conference at Jönköping University on 21 April.“Great fun and a great honor,” he says.
  • Representatives from the Swedish Parliament showed a great interest in the dental education


    The Regional Director of Region Jönköping County and the President at Jönköping University give a joint presentation to Members of Parliament. On Wednesday 20 April, the dental education was presented in the Swedish Parliament. More than a dozen members of parliament from different parties had attended at the invitation of Members of the Parliament Carina Ödebrink (S) and Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD).
  • Sustainability in focus at this year's SPARK conference

  • Daughters over-looked as successor for family business


    A new study from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) has uncovered that its far more common for sons to take over the family business than daughters. It can take daughters on average 4-5 years longer than their brothers to reach the CEO position. However, another tentative but important finding in the study suggests that the family business actually does better under the leadership of a daughter than a son.
  • The Prosthetics and Orthotics Bachelor programme receives recognised international accreditation


    The Prosthetics and Orthotics Bachelor programme at the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University (JU) has been accredited by the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) at the Prosthetist/Orthotist level after an extensive review process.
