Mattias Elg, professor at Linköping University and longtime collaboration with Jönköping Academy.

Mobile home and care team for elderly deaf people - unique project in Sweden

The care team consists of deaf assistant nurses who visit elderly deaf people in their homes. The project aims to improve the health of a target group who often avoid applying for home and care interventions due to communication challenges and the risk of misunderstanding. Åsa Gustavsson, project manager at Jönköpings Läns och Dövas Teckenspråkigas förbund, shares experiences from both the project and the work with academia. Researchers Yashar Mahmud and Sofi Fristedt from Jönköping Academy will share preliminary research results.

The seminar is held in Swedish and will be interpreted in sign language.

Welcome to JA's "jam session" to prepare research applications for upcoming calls. We create application texts that can be adapted to the appropriate call, in areas such as knowledge management, health centers, non-profit public partnerships, how to include the patient/family perspective in the writing process, etc.

From district nurse to entrepreneur

Emma Grundström, founder of Evig AB, has developed a reporting support for health and social care organizations. As a district nurse, she saw the need for a better system and took her experience from clinical work with her when she changed career and started her own business. Emma talks about the journey from idea to reality.
