Forskning

Logistik, och då i synnerhet logistik med utgångspunkt i produktion, har spelat en central roll i Joakims verksamhet sedan tidigt 90-tal.

Forskningens inriktning inom logistik vid JTH är mot produktionsintensiva försörjningskedjor och omfattar särskilt planering och styrning, samverkan i gränssnitten med kunder och leverantörer samt lageradministration och materialhantering. Utgångspunkten är genomgående en värdedriven och processbaserad systemansats som grundsyn på hela verksamheten men fokus är på att identifiera en konkurrenskraftig balans mellan effektivitet och responsivitet. I forskningen strävar vi mot att kombinera konceptuell teoriutveckling och tillämpning av dessa, och andra, koncept i industriella sammanhang.

Biografi

Efter 20 år i Linköping kom Joakim till JTH i oktober 2006 där han är professor i Logistik. Stor del av tiden i Linköping tillbringades på Linköpings tekniska högskola där han 1991 avlade civilingenjörsexamen i datateknik. 1989-1990 tillbringade han i Cardiff, Wales där han erhöll en Master of Science i Systems Engineering. 1991 började han som doktorand i Produktionsekonomi och avlade en teknologie doktorsexamen i produktionsekonomi 1994 och var sedan universitetslektor där till och med 2006. Under perioden 1997-2006 arbetade han 60 procent av sin tid i industrin, huvudsakligen med affärssystem på Intentia Consulting och senare på IFS R&D. 2006 blev han docent i Produktionsekonomi. Joakim såg dagens ljus 1964 för första gången och är född och uppväxt i Persåsen i Jämtland.
