Forskning

Helene Ahl är verksam som professor och forskare vid Encell, centrum för livslångt lärande vid Högskolan för lärande och kommunikation (HLK) i Jönköping (www.encell.se).

Hennes forskningsprojekt inkluderar en kunskapsöversikt om motivation och vuxnas lärande, forskning om lärande i arbetslivet, forskning om integration, samt forskning inom genusteori och entreprenörskap (se www.emblaresearch.se). För närvarande är hon engagerad i ett EU-projekt med tio deltagande länder som handlar om kvinnor som innovationsledare på landsbygden (se www.fliara.eu). Hon är också affilierad forskare vid CeFEO, Centre for Family Entrepreneurhsip and Ownership vid Jönköping International Business School. Hon undervisar i genus och organisering på personalprogrammet och i feministisk teori för doktorander. 

Biografi

Helene Ahl, född 1958, tog sin civilekonomexamen och sin gymnasielärarexamen vid Lunds Universitet 1984. Hon flyttade sedan till USA där hon erhöll en MBA vid UCLA Anderson School of Management, Los Angeles.

Fram till 1996 arbetade Helene på olika företag i USA och i Sverige med marknadsföring, marknadsanalys, produktutveckling och internationell handel. År 2002 disputerade hon vid Jönköping International Business School. Hennes avhandling är en kritisk granskning av forskningstexter om kvinnors företagande ur ett genusteoretiskt perspektiv. Avhandlingen är dubbelt prisbelönt.
