Leon Barkho citeras i prestigefylld publikation
Utdrag ur artikeln:
"With a weak cable infrastructure in the Middle East, satellite TV is a major source of information," said Leon Barkho, who studies Middle Eastern news coverage at Jönköping University in Sweden. “People rely on what their satellites can pick up from the sky," he said. “A TV in the Middle East without a satellite becomes a dumb box." Barkho said viewers in the region are especially fond of BBC´s Persian news coverage because the channel is free. He said he thinks there was a jamming attempt to prevent media bias from the west from reaching Iranian citizens.
