Themes
To enable interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary collaborations, establish a solid foundation for new research projects, and further develop and deepen knowledge and competence among our researchers and teachers, a large part of the research within SIHW is organized into themes. Below, the ongoing themes are briefly presented, and the responsible person can be contacted for further information.
Domestic violence (Våld i nära relationer)
The theme Domestic violence is an interdisciplinary network consisting of individuals from Jönköping University and collaborative partners. What unites the participants is an interest in developing knowledge about men's violence against women and domestic violence, its expression and consequences for individuals, as well as the stakeholders involved in preventing and combating violence. A key perspective is to understand violence as a gendered practice.
The network meets a few times each semester for seminars and knowledge dissemination.

GeroNet
GeroNet (Gerontology network) at JU is a multidisciplinary network focusing on older people and ageing. We engage researchers from all JU's schools, and provide a forum for discussion on older people and ageing. We address critical questions about the experience of ageing and aim to initiate new interdisciplinary projects and research collaborations.
