Thomas Olsson works as a Senior Lecturer of Technolgy in Construction Engineering and Building Services Engineering at the School of Engineering of Jönköping University. As a Senior Lecturer of Technology he teaches about various aspects the construction and real estate industries with a particular specialisation in energy efficient buildings and sustainable building.

Thomas holds a MSc in Environmental Engineering from Luleå University of Technology and has more than 15 years expericence as a university teacher as well as 6 years of experience as an energy expert in the real estate industry. At Jönköping University he has held various positions such as Programme Director, Head of Department and responsible for Industry Collaboration. Currently he is persuing doctoral studies focusing on real-time occupancy monitoring in non-residential buildings to aid Building Automation with the aim of reducing energy wase.
