The School of Education and Communication offers undergraduate
programmes, master programmes, single-subject courses and doctoral
programmes.
Education, communication, relations, dialogue and creativity are words that describe both our programmes and our way of working. Many students describe their study environment as both welcoming and inspiring.
Undergraduate Programmes
The School of Education and Communication offers four undergraduate programmes given in Swedish. Although all bachelor programmes are primarily taught in Swedish, there are many elective courses in English that are offered to our exchange students.

Master's Programmes
Master programmes in Social Sciences of Sustainability
The Social Sciences of Sustainability master environment is composed of three different master programmes within the fields of Media and Communication Studies, Education, and Global Studies, with a joint thematic focus on sustainability.
Sustainability is understood as innovation and development in professional sectors pertaining to media and communication, education, and global studies that simultaneously meet needs in present times, just as they consider future generations’ capacity to meet emerging challenges.
The master programmes are campus-based with several modules and options for online participation. The sustainability environment offers possibilities for students outside Europe to enrol in the programmes through the JU scholarships.
The structure of the environment allows for students to meet across the programmes in selected modules.
The programmes are offered as a 1-year (60 credits) and 2-year (120 credits) programme.

LeaDS – Learning, Digitalization, and Sustainability
GlobalS – Global Studies: Sustainable Societies and Social Change
Interventions in Childhood is carried out in collaboration with School of Health and Welfare
Courses conducted in English
Each semester offers exciting individual courses taught in English where international students study alongside Swedish students, contributing to the international environment at the School of Education and Communication.

The Pathway Programme is designed to enable you to reach your full academic and social potential while in Sweden. Our pathways are the best way to improve your English proficiency in order to meet the entry requirements for studies at Jönköping University.
If you meet the academic requirements for a programme, but lack the level of required English proficiency, you may apply to one of our pathway programmes. When you have successfully completed the programme you may enter into a pre-selected and eligibility assessed degree programme without any further testing. Choose one of our pathways to prepare you for a career and future employability.
