What is AMBA?

AMBA (The Association of MBAs) is one of the world’s most respected organisations for quality assurance in advanced business and management education. It focuses exclusively on MBA, DBA, and Master’s in Management (MBM) programmes, with a strong focus on employability, impact, and clear learning outcomes.

Only programmes that meet the highest standards in teaching, learning and curriculum design, career development and employability, as well as student, alumni and employer engagement, receive AMBA accreditation.

The accreditation is based on a rigorous review process conducted every five years. It evaluates academic quality, professional relevance, and how well the programme supports students in developing leadership skills and enhancing their employability.

To gain and retain accreditation, institutions must demonstrate excellence in teaching, relevant and well-designed course content, an international perspective, and strong engagement from key stakeholders. Each review also identifies areas for improvement to encourage continuous development and innovation.

AMBA accreditation is globally recognised as a mark of quality in advanced management education. It is administred by the Association of MBAs, an independent organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in business education worldwide.
