Jasmine Lihua Liu

Jasmine’s research focus is business model innovation (BMI) in the renewable energy business context and experimental approach in BMI. Jasmine is trained in business administration (bachelor level), applied psychology (master level) and she holds a Ph.D. degree in Innovation Sciences (from Halmstad University, 2019).

In 2014 – 2015 she conducted a large-scale business model innovation project with the Chinese Goldwind in service and maintenance. In her Ph.D. research, she explored the development of the Chinese wind power industry from its inception to becoming the largest in the world, in just a few years. This project focused on business model innovation projects and tailor-made a new business model for Goldwind to support the company's journey in the global arena. She has been working with Swedish wind power companies as well.

The theoretical contribution of her Ph.D. dissertation is the development of a symbiotic business model in which politics, institutions and industry, through an experimental and collaborative approach, established, developed, and shaped the new industry.

This approach will be further developed in the forthcoming projects:
